BASIS OF COMPETITION
Awards will be based on the highest cumulative score(s) from the following elements:
a. Weighted grades achieved for academic subjects only (high school) or Cumulative GPA (college);
b. A written essay covering a topic chosen by the applicant from a group of topics;
c. An interview by a representative panel of the scholarship committee.

The scholarship committee will select a number of finalists from the original group of applicants based upon the application form and high school/college grades. Contestants will be notified by phone or e-mail of decisions regarding finalists.

Anonymity is maintained throughout the competition.

Decisions made by the scholarship committee are final.
