Dan Hart: Space, Defense and Technology Leader; Member of The National Academy of Engineering; Senior Fellow,  The Atlantic Council

Dan Hart is the former CEO Virgin Orbit,  retired Boeing VP of Government Satellite Systems, and Member of the National Academy of  Engineering.
With 40 years of leadership across pioneering space programs Dan will discuss elements inherent in successful leaders, compare entrepreneurial companies with traditional aerospace, tell a few stories, and share some observations of the future.

Prior to his Presidency at Virgin Orbit, Dan served as Vice President of Government Satellite Systems at the Boeing Company. In this position, he oversaw Boeing’s government satellite programs, developing and managing missions for the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, NOAA, and other national programs. Dan’s portfolio included marquee programs such as Global Positioning System (GPS), Wideband Global SATCOM, the Tracking and Data Relay Satellites (TDRS) system, and the X-37 spaceplane and Boeing’s National Space Systems portfolio.
